COM Alert - Math/Science Bomb Threat

Incident Summary
February 22 at 3:34 p.m.

At approximately 12:27 p.m. today, the College of the Mainland (COM) switchboard received a call about a suspected bomb threat at the Math/Science building. The COM Police Department immediately evacuated the building and notified the Texas City Police Department. After conducting a thorough investigation, authorities found no safety threat in the area. The building was issued an all-clear at approximately 2:48 p.m. this afternoon. Instruction and campus activities now continue as normal.

This is an all-clear notification. You received a prior emergency notification due to police investigation of a bomb threat at College of the Mainland. Police have investigated the situation and have determined that it is safe for all campus activities to proceed as scheduled at this time.


Bomb Threat - Math/Science Evacuation Ordered
February 22 at 1:20 p.m.

Campus police are investigating a bomb threat for the Math/Science Building. The building has been evacuated.  Please avoid the area until further notice. For updates visit www.com.edu.  An alert will be sent when the situation is all clear.
